For the uninitiated, we have put together a short overview of the terms you need to understand so that we can communicate with each other :

Domain Name   This is your internet address and will commence with www. - our domain name is www.vfcdesigns.co.uk - the .co.uk relates to our Top Level Domain (TLD). You can register your desired domain name with anyone of several registrars (assuming it has not already been registered). We can advise as to the suitability and availablity of domain names. However, we always advise that you register your domain name (we show you how), so that you always have control over it.

Internet Hosting   The Internet is basically thousands (or even millions) of computers (or servers) which are all connected. Your website has to be placed on one of these. Medium size businesses may need their own server - large businesses may require several. As a small business requiring web or internet hosting, you will only need some space on one of these machines (referred to as Virtual Hosting). The price for hosting your website for a year is included in our prices.

Website   This is the actual coding and pictures which are loaded onto the hosting account. The language used is HTML - to see what this looks like just go to the menu at the top of the page - click on "view" followed by "source" and you should be able to view the coding for this page.
